The Interior Design of Mr Santosh Patil's Residence has been done tastefully by Neha Dharkar and her team of Architects in Thane. The professionals have worked hard to create a home that is a homage to design, both modern and traditional. Although we will only see a few parts of this well-designed home, the rooms we see are laid out beautifully with extraordinary attention to detail.

The first look

The first look of the home is quite impressive, especially with the attractive lighting used in the area. The ceiling to wall design is continuous, which is a current trend that has gained momentum. The concealed lighting adds an element of mystery to the ceiling design. We see that the home has an open layout, which makes movement easier.

Incredible details

Let’s see the ceiling design up close. The 3D geometric pattern gives the design a new kind of look. The use of gold with the white creates a beautiful contrast. We love the bold use of bright colours in this home, which is something designers often avoid. The entire TV unit is made of wood and laminated with a combination of both black and white. The TV is wall-mounted, and the adjoining furniture is excellent for storage.

A variety of colours

The designers decided to incorporate some colour into the décor with accents, instead of using it in the overall design. It has allowed them to maintain the high standard and elegance that they envisioned while offering flexibility to the homeowners to decide how they want to incorporate colour. The flowers and vases are a great example of décor that brightens up a room.

The master bedroom

Next, we take a peek into the bedroom. The sheer elegance and style of the room astound us. The simplicity shines through, while the designers’ talents can be seen in how they have created a peaceful place that is uncluttered yet beautiful. On one side, we have a wall with a mural. The use of traditional Indian motifs is always appreciated, and here, it ties the modern design elements with traditional Indian ones. The rest of the room has furniture made with a similar tone of the wood, which creates an excellent continuity in design. The combination of ochre and cream looks lovely.

Geometric details

Geometry and symmetry are an integral part of the design in this house. First, we saw the ceiling and wall design, and next, we have the display shelf in the dining area. The shelves, which take up an entire section, have different proportions but are designed to fit together seamlessly, despite the inconsistent sizes. The lighting inside each shelf creates an illuminated space perfect for displaying idols and décor pieces. We also get to see the shiny dining table, finished with a dark wood laminate that gives it a beautiful shine.
