The entrance door of the toilet should preferably be constructed on the Eastern or Northern wall. The door should never be on South-west direction. When using or not, keep the bathroom door closed.

Plan it before and build the toilet in West or North-west part of the room. However, if it is not possible then toilets can also be constructed in the southern side of the room. As per Vastu for toilets, it should never be built in Eastern or North-eastern part of the home.

Construct toilet 1-2 feet higher than the ground level or at least there should be level difference from the room.

​4. Placement of commode

Commode should always be placed in such a way that person using it should never be facing East or West direction. So the commode should be in Southeast or Northwest side facing North or South.

​5. Placement of water closet

The water closets of the bathroom should be aligned along with North-east axis of the bathroom. However, it should not be sharing the kitchen or pooja room walls.

East and North wall of the bathroom is best to hang mirror. Go for it and place the sink accordingly.

​8. Window for freshness

You cannot have a bathroom without window. So design a window in the East, West or North wall.

​9. Colour of the room

Avoid dark tones in the bathrooms. It is believed to attract negative energy. The best colours for bathrooms are pink, grey, light blue and shade of pastel.
