This grand family apartment in Barkston Gardens required a complete makeover to restore it to its former glory. PAD cleverly reorganised the internal layout to suit the needs of the clients and their young family. Structurally, they opened up the main living spaces and created additional en suite bathrooms. A palette of hardwood parquet floors, natural stone, muted tones and inventive use of lighting provided the apartment with a contemporary facelift while retaining and highlighting the features of the original design, including the discovery of a beautiful cast iron fire place surround which had been hidden behind many years of paint.
