Location of the project is via Savona, in the south
side of the Navigli canals in Milan, a dismissed industrial
district that keeps on living due to recent
urban transformations such as the conversion of
the 25000 smq of the belgian Schlumberger industries,
that in 1996 have been transformed into a
creative centre, comprehensive of research laboratories
on design, fashion, commercial advertisement,
art and architecture.
The loft is divided into two floors, on the ground
floor you can find the kitchen on the entrance, just
in front of the pedestrian street. a big windows allows
the light to enter inside. outside an iron pergola.
behind the kitchen there is a big living room with
a overhead lighting from a shed and two rooms,
one for the babe, the other one for the mother’s
shoes. on the second floor the roof was opened to
leave room to the terrace, with a small pool forthe
babe. the roof si the original one, with the original
iron truss exposed. in front of the terrace the
double roomthat is connected through a walkway
to the studio. along the walkway afull wall library.
